Lenoir is considered one of the gateway cities to the beautiful Blue
Ridge Mountains and it’s recreational areas and it’s only 15 minutes
from Blowing Rock and 30 minutes from Boone. Ski slopes are
equally as accessible. This is the perfect location for nature lovers
and outdoor pursuits. Moses Cone Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway
with their miles of trails, ample camping, equestrian trails, kayaking,
bicycling and other pursuits are only minutes away.
The recreational areas of North Carolina have become a haven for
retirees and others wishing to escape the rugged winters of the
northern US or the incessant heat of regions farther south. Lenoir
enjoys more moderate year round temperatures than it’s more elevated
counter-parts. In addition, it’s home to a surprising number
of national and multi-national companies.
