Community Manager
Manufactured Housing
Community - Southern
California Location
The Community
Manager is expected
to take full
responsibility for
all aspects of
operating their
manufactured housing
community and
maximizing its
potential including,
but not limited to,
General
Administration
resulting in a
stabilized fiscal
operation;
Maintenance with the
result of a property
in good physical
condition.
Responsibilities to
include managing the
operating income of
the community,
resident occupancy,
curb appeal and
maintaining positive
resident and
employee relations.
Responsibilities
Management
& Personnel
o Manage
office and
maintenance staff.
Must be able to give
direction, follow up
on daily progress
and provide limited
training as needed
o Interview,
hire, supervise,
evaluate, discipline
and terminate staff
members as necessary
in accordance with
Human Resource
polices and
practices.
o Prepare
market research,
surveys, and
comparative shopping
analysis
o Complete
management reports
outlining
significant events,
maintenance,
personnel and
operating issues
o Participate
in weekly staff
meetings and
conference calls
o Maintain
all required records
and Files
o Report
accidents and
emergencies
immediately and file
appropriate incident
reports
Customer
Service and Rules
Enforcement
o Enforce
community rules and
regulations
o Issue
home site violations
that require
residents to comply
with quality
assurance standards
(homesite
inspections)
o Implement
and execute
evictions
o Ensure
resident
satisfaction
o Work
closely with
residents to ensure
positive tenant and
community relations
o Organize
and execute
community events to
increase resident
retention
o Manage
process of gathering
resident feedback
through surveys
o Distribute
monthly newsletter
and other resident
communications (as
needed)
o Address
customer complaints
New
Homes
o Manage
the move-in process
for new residents
including
application review,
lease signing, rules
review, and
welcoming
o Coordinate
with dealers,
manufacturers,
and/or homeowners to
facilitate the
arrival of new homes
into the community
o Oversee
the process of
private home sales
in the community
o Manage
the move-out process
o Manage
the refurbishing and
sale of any
community-owned home
Financial
o Collect
rent
o Make
deposits
o Actively
manage delinquency
by providing late
notices to
residents with
consistent
follow-ups
o Code
invoices charged to
the community to
assure they are
posted to the
correct account
o Participate
in budgeting process
for the community
and work to meet
financial goals
Physical
Infrastructure
o Inspect
community on a daily
basis to assess curb
appeal
o Identify
and prioritize
maintenance, repair,
and upgrade
projects throughout
the community
o Oversee
maintenance staff or
third-party
contractors in the
completion of
maintenance projects
o Oversee
or perform meter
reading of utilities
and community bills
(where applicable)
o Assist
in managing
contractors working
on construction
projects
o Track
equipment inventory
Skills
Management
experience
Leadership
ability
Customer
service attitude
Strong
verbal and written
communication
skills. Ability to
communicate with
staff at all levels
of corporate
structure
Computer-literate
including experience
with
Microsoft
Windows, Microsoft
Office, email,
internet and
accounting software
eSite
experience preferred
Maintenance
experience a plus
(electrical,
plumbing,
construction etc.)
Qualifications
High
School Education or
equivalent (GED)
Prior
property management
experience is
REQUIRED.
Manufactured Housing
Community experience
preferred
Bilingual
(Spanish) Preferred
Strong
organizational,
administrative and
clerical skills and
familiarity with
office procedures
and financial
budgeting process
The
ability to stand and
walk for long
periods of time
Ability to lift at
least 50 lbs
Must
possess California
drivers license and
provide proof of
automobile insurance
Location

Southern California
including Riverside
(Candidate is
expected to live
on-site)
