Manufactured Home Community has a new opening for a Community Team to run our location in the Blacksburg, VA area.  The team would be in charge of both the management and maintenance aspect of the job.  Housing and utilities provided plus salary.

The Community Manager is responsible, for all phases of the operation of the Property, including, but not limited to, maintenance, leasing, Resident relations, collection of rents and control of all personnel and resources so that the Property is maintained at all times in good physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation.  Adhering to all applicable fair housing laws governing real estate, leasing and management maintenance service.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the general upkeep of the property to include landscaping, rehab of housing, and other various tasks.

The following is meant to cover the majority of the tasks to be performed:
Administrative

  1. Collect rents and handle delinquent accounts

  2. Process utility readings

  3. Prepare general property correspondence

  4. Collect loan payments on homes financed

  5. Prepare and process leases and related forms

Management

  1. Receive and resolve complaints

  2. Assist in planning residents activities

  3. Rent vacant sites

  4. Handle all details of move-ins and move-outs, giving special attention to mobile home inspections prior to move-ins

  5. Ensure that residents are provided with a clean, safe, well maintained community

  6. Work within the established budget and notify the management of any possible variations

  7. Work with residents and resident organizations

  8. Report accidents and emergency situations to the home office immediately and prepare the proper reports

  9. Ensure tenants adhere to park rules and regulations

  10. Keep current with rules and regulations of state manufactured housing laws

  11. Communicate with home office on a regular basis to report status of the property

  12. Advise of any mobile homes in the park that are being offered for sale by the residents

Maintenance

  1. Physically examine property on a daily basis

  2. Purchase supplies for the community

  3. Maintain landscaping, utilities, roads, signage and other items that may be required

  4. Mowing common areas, vacant sites and vacant rental units

  5. Generally maintaining and improve the quality of the community

  6. Maintain public areas in a clean and safe fashion

  7. Supervise outside contractors working on the Property

  8. Adhere to all maintenance and purchasing directive including but not limited to (a) property inspections (b) maintenance assignments (c) utility system readings and controls (d) landscaping and grounds (e) safety (f) special maintenance items.

  9. Maintain all personal property including, landscape equipment, company truck etc.

Requirements for this position include:

3-5 years of management experience (preferred all age MH Communities)
HS Diploma or GED
Valid drivers license
Ability to pass a background check
